Thank you to those Hope Volunteers who attended the Christmas Market in Civray last week. Your efforts were greatly appreciated, especially by a little abandoned dog which we are re-homing from the pound in Civray. The money you raised will enable him to be vaccinated and micro-chipped. Thank you very much and Happy Christmas from all the dogs you help over the year.
HOPE NOVEMBER BOOK SALE
It gives me very great pleasure to tell all our readers that the Hope Booksale last weekend raised a staggering 8000 euros (plus small change), this far exceeded our expectations and means that we can continue to help animals in need, and support other Associations, British and French who do so much to help save animal’s lives.
None of this could have been possible with the tireless work of our volunteers, hours of sorting and moving books, culminating in a week of preparing the hall and two days of selling books. It didn’t end there because everything had to be cleared away on Sunday and hundreds of books packed safely away until our next booksale in 2012.
Our grateful thanks also goes to the Maire and Commune of Clussais la Pommeraie for letting us use their wonderfull Salle des Fetes again and to those good people who turned up with their food vans to make sure we did not go hungry.
Finally on behalf of everyone who supports our Association, I would like to give the biggest THANK YOU TO YOU, the British and French booklovers who came in your hundreds and made this success possible. It is thanks to you all that we can continue our work to save animals in need and long may you continue to support us.
We look forward to welcoming you again next year and if you would like to receive details of any future Hope fund raising events, please contact Linda Burns at thehopeassociation@gmail.com
