Phoenix Animal Rescue, Dordogne
Offers re-homing of abused and abandoned animals, but also works alongside local veterinary practices and has a helpline service.

Poor Paws, Lot
Offers assistance for people looking to adopt an animal, not a refuge but works with the rescue centre in the area to help find willing helpers and owners.

Asso. for the Protection of Abandoned Animals, Trégrom
Based in Brittany and came into existence after the local shelter closed down. The website offers a wealth of information on the work the centre does and the adoption process.
