HOPE was formed to raise funds to help Animals in Need and to encourage people who care deeply about what happens to stray, abused and abandoned animals to do “their bit” to help stop some of the cruelty and neglect we see about us in our daily lives.

We raise money by fund-raising individually or Voluntary Donations and support Animal charities and individuals locally, and sometimes further afield.

We work closely in the Poitou Charente with local Veterinaires and Communes to find homes for abandoned animals, and we believe in the need for closer co-operation and networking between other rescue associations. “No man is an Island”.

We are here to listen, advise and support, if we can, and to encourage others to take up the cudgel of their own consciences.

There are many ways in which you can become involved, from Fundraising to Fostering, or just holding a person’s hand when the time comes to say goodbye to a faithful old friend.

Your commitment is just the beginning of a long journey involving hard work, patience, sometimes heartbreak; but in the end, the satisfaction of knowing that you have made a difference.
