Disgarded aged 11

This lovely old fella is called “Lolo” an 11 year old Spaniel who for most of his long life has lived happily at home with his master.  Sadly his master went to live with his son and they took Lolo and put him in the refuge, there to end his days.

There is no way an old gentleman like this stands a chance of being adopted in Spain, so we are bringing him out, in the hope that someone will look into his gentle eyes and want to offer him a home.  He is described as adorable, gentle and obedient, he gets on with other dogs and is house-trained.

Not everyone is prepared to give a home to an older dog, they worry that it won’t live very long or have huge vets bills. Well all I can say to that is, however many extra years a dog like this can have is a two fold blessing for him and his new owner.  It’s a very special feeling to help the oldies and know that you are making their last few years happy ones.

Lolo will be coming out of the Spanish refuge on 18th February, having veterinary checks, vaccinations, etc.  We have a temporary foster home lined up for him, but wouldn’t it be wonderful if someone came forward and made it permanent.
