Tiffany's home!
Tiffany’s story is not unique, in fact it is still ongoing. Tiffany is a 9 year old black Labrador cross who has lived most of her life chained up in a small wire cage at the back of a yard. With the onset of the cold winter weather her plight was noticed by some neighbours who decided to do something about it and contacted Hope.

Living in her own filth

On Monday Tiffany will be taken to a safe foster home, thanks to the kindness of the Orfee Association but her journey does not end there, in fact it only begins. This lovely older dog, who is exceptionally gentle by nature is desperate to find a permanent family home. It’s the very least she deserves after years of neglect.

Amazing what a little kindness can do.

Tiffany is micro-chipped and will be vaccinated and speyed before being re-homed. Please, if you think you have room for a slightly older lady do call us on 05 49 27 26 20 or email hopeassoc@orange.fr, thank you.
The lady who rescued Tiffany wanted to say something about her, and I am sure you will agree with me, whoever adopts Tiffany will have a wonderful friend for life.
We contacted The Hope Association after finding Tiffany living in horrendous conditions. She was chained up inside a cage. The metal chain, which was big and bulky was around her neck and attatched to the cage. The cage was roughly three meters square. The owner was absent quite often and Tiffany was left with no food or water. There was a kennel inside the cage, but this gave little or no protection from the heat of the sun or the freezing conditions of winter. The concrete base of the cage was covered in excrement and the smell was nausous. This was the lot of Tiffany, day after day. Another day of neglect and misery.
We decided to confront the owner, who despite previous warnings to look after his dog responsibly, agreed to hand it over to the Orfee Association. Because of the worsening weather conditions, we decided to take Tiffany into our own home until she could be taken to Orfee. Unfortunately, because of circumstances, we cannot keep Tiffany on a permanent basis. I wish we could!
She is a lovely dog and despite all the horrible things she has had to endure she still has trust in humans. During the short time she has been with us, she has proved to be a loving dog, eager to please. I think she may have had some sort of training at some time in her life, as she is very obedient. Surprisingly, she is also house trained! We haven’t had any mess from her. She enjoys her walks and is very good on the lead. She shows no signs of stiffness and moves quite freely. She is really amazing.
Tiffany will be a loving, loyal companion to anyone willing to give her a chance. All she nees is a loving home, food and companionship. She deserves it. Please help if you can.
