LATEST UPDATE:  Sissou is doing very well in her foster home and learning how to be a normal dog again.

Taking on rescue dogs requires common sense, with Sissou a properly enclosed garden and walks only on a lead. In return you will have a lovely dog who will be excellent company. NO, Sissou is not going to be destroyed, we are hoping very much that someone else will see in her what we do, and give her a happy home for the remainder of her days.

If you could give Sissou a home please contact: Siobain 05 49 27 26 20 or email hopeassoc@orange.fr with your details and and contact phone number.

Sissou is about 8 years old. She is a soft short haired German Shepherd with floppy ears, and was rescued in the South of France as a pup and was adopted by a lady who later contracted Motor Neurons disease.

Sissou is fully vaccinated including Rabies, micro-chipped and sterilised. She is used to living with other dogs but is not very keen on small ones.   Gentle and sweet-natured Sissou is happy with male or female pack members, but she is not good around cats as they are too much fun to chase, but having said that, she has improved on recall and will stop if called.

If you think you could offer her a home, or even just foster her please contact hopeassoc@orange.fr as soon as possible.  Sissou is a lovely dog and deserves to enjoy her remaining years.
