A strange “tail” with a happy ending

We often get asked for a particular colour or breed of animal, and in this case it was a request for a young ginger cat. The gentleman concerned was a  great cat lover and already had quite a colourful selection except ginger.

Handsome Nemo

So if was with great pleasure that when I saw a photograph of Nemo in our local vets, I phoned up the French family who were looking after him and it looked like a perfect match.  Phone calls went to and fro but suddenly a few days before he was due to go to his new home, catastrophy.   A fleeting phone message to say that Nemo had been rushed into the local vets and then SILENCE, what had befallen this handsome little chap.

We soon learned and the news was horrific. Set upon by a local dog, Nimo had barely escaped with his life and had lost something no self-respecting cat should be without!

Yummy

I did, I saw a Mouse!

and that is how a very lucky little ginger cat lost his tail and ended up living happily ever after with an Englishman called Ken, adding to his colourful collection of cats.

Our grateful thanks to Ken Jones for taking the photographs and adopting Nemo, to the vets at Brioux for performing a difficult operation, and finally to the French couple, without whose swift action there would be not tale to be told.
